The schedule shows what a day of the mission trip usually looks like. Participants are divided into three teams. Each team has a team leader. As a team, you are scheduled on a different action each day: the day, or night action or free. Worship and Bible study is on one day, the buffet is on the other.

Basically, all other program components are mandatory. The exception is brunch if you participated in the night action the night before. Exceptions may be made in individual cases after consultation.

  • Most trips are from Friday (Day 1) to Friday (Day 8).
  • The fifth day is a day off.
  • On Sundays you visit a local church
  • The trip leader can add an afternoon action on the spot – in consultation with the team.

For example:
Suppose you are assigned to team A. On the first night, you are free to participate in the evening action. The second day you will join the night action. The next day, you are at work in the evening and don’t go as long. On day four, you are not assigned to any action. On Day 5, your day looks like Day 1 again.

A few comments:

  • Of course you can go on action more often than once a day, but a week of 3 actions a day is too much of a stretch for most people. Make sure yourself that you take enough time for yourself, your family and God.
  • If you want to take time off for an activity where your team is assigned, swap with someone else from another team so that there are always enough people for a specific activity.
  • On arrival-, departure-, fifth and Sunday, the day looks (somewhat) different.
  • Participants involved in catering and purchasing will, of course, have a different program.
  • The above program is not complete. It does not include corvee duties and prayer letter writing, for example.
  • Times and content of the program are subject to change during the trip.
