My name is Onne de Vries, I have lived in Friesland all my life and I am father of 4 children.
The motivation for going with Beach mission is: Because I am gripped by the Love of Jesus and to give others a taste of that Love. The way Beach mission does it really appeals to me.
My goal is to make a difference in people’s lives.
This was inspired by a card I received several years ago that said:
Your testimony can change someone’s destiny forever.

All my life I have believed in God, from a very young age.
My 1st memory is when I was 4 years old, praying for a little brother (my brother is 4.5 years younger than me). Over the years, I always had the realization that God was there.
During a meeting there was a call to consciously give your heart to Jesus, the question came if there were people who wanted to do that and if they wanted to stand, to this invitation I stood. This was a step I do not regret, since then I have had an amazing hunger for God and the Holy Spirit has been at work in me.

Much has happened in the years since, too much to mention.
From God I have received beautiful gifts, and I would like to use them to tell others of Him. I have a heart for young people and love to talk about Jesus and what He has done for me. Jesus is coming back, and I believe He is already on His way.
We must use our time well to tell people who do not know Jesus that salvation and eternal life can only be obtained from Him.
Happy to use my time to do this, where, when, and how, doesn’t matter. I may take to the streets next summer as an older young person with young people. When I think about that I get very excited. Who knows, maybe I’ll meet you next summer, I’m really looking forward to it.
