For the vacancy of catering coordinator we are looking for a man / woman who, on a voluntary basis wants to be in charge of the catering during a 10 day mission trip of Beach Mission.

Beach Mission is a non-profit foundation that organizes mission trips to popular beach holiday destinations in Europe. The evangelists who participate in this come from different church denominations and have a passion to evangelize among young people spending their holidays there.

As catering coordinator you are responsible for the daily meals of the 20 participants and for preparing the food during the two barbecues each trip that we organize for young people whom we invite on the streets. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Making a grocery list
  • Buying groceries
  • Budget control of groceries
  • Cooperating with chores team
  • If necessary, attending leadership meeting

You can make the menus as you like, or use menus made beforehand, as long as it fits within the previously stated budget.

You will understand a lot is required of you:

  • experience in cooking
  • ability to work independently
  • ability to improvise (small kitchen, diets, etc.);
  • ability to be responsible for budget;
  • ability to cooperate with other participants;

For people with a large responsibility, such as the catering coordinator, Beach Mission likes to provide a wildcard (free participation). However, wildcards or discounts can only be given when gifts have been received for this.
